How you can help in the success of the jerusalem in exile project and
light
the
world map
"...photography will not replace the memory as is
often feared.
It will simply connect us to it. Think of it as the train that takes
us from one destination to another. It does not constitute the origin
or the destination; it is simply the vehicle. Without the train the
journey is longer, and we might get lost on the way. It is the train
that transports us and it is the photography that will help trigger
these memories and imagination so that they reach a destination.
This destination is our renewed perception of Jerusalem."
First
participateby sending the mental image of
Jerusalem in your mind.
Invite five of your friends by email encouraging
them to participate. We need to create a chain
reaction in order to reach Palestinians
globally.
Look at the
World Map, and search for unlit
countries. If you have friends there, send them
the invitation. The success of the project lies
in lighting the world map.
If you work in the media sector, pass on theidea of the project in hope it will trigger
media attention which in return will increase
the chance that more people hear about it.
Recommend the
listing of the jerusalem in exile web site in local
web directories in your country, or anywhere you
think is appropriate.
Add it to your blog.
Hang the
invitation in your school, university,
or workplace.
Any ideas or suggestions you may have in order
for this project to reach as many as
Palestinians as possible, please send them to
this email
